Use Tor Or Tails To Access The Sites That Are Blocked By Department Of Telecom (Reliance)

Earlier, I reported about the websites including Pastebin, Vimeo and ThePirateBay being blocked by Reliance as per instructions from Department of Telecom (DOT). There are more number of internet users are unaware of using proxy or other similar services to have access to the blocked sites anywhere in the world.
Other than GoogleDNS/OpenDNS, we have three simple ways to access every single blocked sites on internet either by your ISP or through a firewall by government. The first one I recommend is using Tor, which is handy and free of cost to use. If you’ve never heard of Tor before, it’s a free software build over Firefox to help any internet user to defend against a form of network surveillance, which we are going through right now.
Using Tor is so simple as using a browser. Just go to https://www.torproject.org/download/ and download a Tor bundle that will fit to your platform (OS). Then double-click on the downloaded Tor bundle, to automatically extract the Tor browser bundle inside a folder named “Tor Browser”. Once extracted double-click on the icon named “Start Tor Browser” located inside the extracted folder.
While using Tor, always keep in mind that,
  1. Never use Tor for online banking, shopping or such similar purposes as it is not safe to do there, although everything send over Tor is highly encrypted.
  2. If you are blocked even to access Tor network, then still we have an other way around. We could use bridges (check this tutorial) on Tor to bypass the censorship.
Using Tails OS is another easy way to bypass censorship, but needs a USB/CD drive and a little procedure to go through for the first time. Check this tutorial to set up Tails OS, to access internet anonymously and without any censorship. For those who are unaware of Tails OS so far, it is a Linux-based OS specifically designed for browsing internet without any censorship.
The third way is just choosing a VPN service, which is similar to using a proxy service but with a dedicated and more secure proxy for each user. There are a lot of free VPN’s available, but they were not recommended by me as simply they are unsafe and could sell you anytime. Either use a paid VPN service or it’s better to go on with Tor or Tails. Although, I never recommend using free VPN, more recently I went through Spotflux, which is a limited VPN like service but based on cloud.
