Lady Gaga Twitter Account Hacked And Regained

The Twitter account of Lady Gaga, a popular pop singer, which has more than 17 million followers, was hacked and then regained back within a few hours today.

TechCrunch’s Greg Kumpark reports that the hackers pretended as Lady Gaga, tweeted thrice through her account, and all the tweets addressed the followers of her account as, just like (monsters), Gaga does.

The first tweet included a link with it, and telling the Lady Gaga followers to click the link and fill the form to get their free Macbooks. That is it!, the click rate went like crazy with 6,701 clicks and sooner bit.ly updated the link to warn the incoming users and that one got pulled out.

The second tweet came up in a moment, with an another link, this time promising a free iPad. Within two minutes, the second link too pulled down and in a matter a moment third one came up.

Then finally a tweet saying, “Phew. The hacking is over! And just in time, I’m on my way to Japan! So excited to spend Xmastime with my TokyoMonsters!”, appeared in her account. This time it’s Lady Gaga confirming the Hack and it is over now.
