A thousand new migrants enter Mexico through Chiapas,and face authorities in the Municipality of Frontera Hidalgo

A new caravan of a thousand Central American migrants broke into the Rodolfo Robles International Bridge on the Mexico-Guatemala border.

The undocumented people were posted yesterday on the binational site waiting to be served by the Mexican authorities.

However, officials of the National Institute of Migration informed the migrants that the card program for humanitarian reasons had ended.

On the bridge the Central Americans organized themselves and decided to advance to national territory.

When they were overwhelmed by the migrants, the authorities chose to let them pass and opened the gates to the Mexican side.

On Rodolfo Robles Bridge, a migrant died presumably of a seizure.

Then the contingent decided to continue on its way to Tapachula, the first city in importance in Chiapas.

The Federal Police and the INM tried to stop the Caravan in the municipality of Frontera Hidalgo.

The migrants responded with stones to the operation of the authorities. Several vehicles were damaged and at least twenty were arrested.

In that locality the authorities were also exceeded and allowed the foreigners to advance.

On Sunday, a group of 200 migrants who also entered the country illegally was insured by the INM and the PF.
